At History Stories, we are passionate about bringing history to life through heritage projects that are deeply rooted in community engagement. Our projects are designed to connect people with their local heritage, fostering a sense of belonging and pride in their shared past.

Exploring Archaeology in Peacehaven
Working with the Changing Chalk Partnership, supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund and Lewes District Council, we led a project exploring archaeology in Peacehaven. One of the outcomes is a learning pack aimed at Primary Schools which can be accessed below and interpretation boards for the Big Park will be coming soon!
Stories FROM THE sTOPPING pLACE
The Big Dig continues with the Changing Chalk Partnership in Eastbourne. We are investigating more of Eastbourne's Downland stories with research into some of the stories of people from Gypsy and Traveller communities using Stopping Places in Eastbourne over 100 years ago.
The Big Dig
The Big Dig project engaged Eastbourne and Peacehaven residents with the origins of their towns and how the Downland environment has moulded everyday life for centuries. The project will inspire and empower volunteers to help reveal the story through research and archaeology.
